Unbelievable as it may sound, looking glamorous is not just the prerogative of supermodels and film-stars. Each one of us can achieve that WOW finish in makeup by using the right products, tools, and techniques.
Flawless skin is the perfect base we want to achieve and that is easily attainable with some practice and personalized selection of makeup suitable for our individual skin tone. Today we’re going to talk a bit about how to choose and apply colour correctors. Once your CTM is done, start makeup on a clean face or else the entire look will be blotchy.
Use a mattifying primer for oily skin or a hydrating primer after application of serum on dry skin, this will help trap the moisture in the skin. Knowing which primer works best for you is an absolute must, it can blur, tighten, shrink the pores and give longer-lasting makeup.
Our skin colour is determined by the pigment melanin. All of us are not lucky enough to have an even skin colour. Most of us asians, have yellow or orange skin undertones. Colour correctors have the ability to give you a perfect even skin tone when applied skilfully. These colour correcting pigments used before the foundation can successfully conceal any kind of skin discolouration, green veins, age spots, zits, birthmarks, blemishes, pigmentation and even under eye dark circles.
Different colour correctors work differently on fair, tan, olive, and dark skin tones
. Peach, green, and red correctors work beautifully on fair and dark skins respectively. Yellow, burnt orange, golden yellow, and apricot are the universal colour correctors which work best for most asian skin tones. They can neutralise the colour of the green veins and diffuse the redness of active acne.
Let’s talk more about this in the next blog until then keep glowing.
