Alliance Air Gets Bastar on Flight Map

Continuing its efforts to bolster regional connectivityAlliance Air is adding Jagdalpur, in the tribal district of Chhatisgarh’s Bastar to its list of destinations as a part of an expansion of its services to enhance regional connectivity.

 

The wholly owned subsidiary of Air India Limited will launch this direct daily flight operations connecting  Jagdalpur to Raipur and Hyderabad from September 21, 2020. The airline will be deploying its 70 seater ATR 72 aircraft on the route. This route has been awarded to Alliance Air to bolster regional connectivity under the Regional Connectivity Scheme (RCS).

 

Flight 9I 885 will depart from Hyderabad at 9 a.m. and arrive in Jagdalpur at 10.25 a.m. further departing from Jagdalpur at 1055 a.m. to arrive in Raipur at 12 p.m. Flight 9I 886 will depart Raipur at 12.30 p.m. and arrive in Jagdalpur at 1.35 p.m. It will depart from Jagdalpur at 2.05 p.m. and arrive in Hyderabad at 3.40 p.m.

 

Jagdalpur is said to be the paradise of tourists looking for fun and frolic. The city is an abode of wildlife, temples, waterfalls, caves, lakes, museums and historic monuments. The city is home to Chitrakote falls also known as ‘The Niagra falls of India.’ National Parks like Kanger Ghati National Park and Indravati National Park are also in Chhatisgarh.

 

Some of the other must-visit places in Jagdalpur are Teerathgarh Falls, Kotumsar Cave, Tamda Ghumar waterfalls, Mendri Ghumar waterfalls, Danteshwari temple, the historic  temples in Barsoor, Jagannath temple, Mavli temple, Laxmi-Narayan temple, the Sri Venkateshwara Swamy temple and more. The Ministry of Tourism, Government of India has identified Jagdalpur-Teerathgarh-Chitrakoot-Barsur-Dantewada-Teerathgarh Circuit as one of the 45 mega tourist destinations / circuits in India on the basis of footfalls and their future tourism potential.

In a statement the airline said it was adhering to all government guidelines and is following all the standard operating procedures (SOPs) issued by the Ministry of Civil Aviation (MoCA). Required precautionary measures are being taken within the aircraft as well at the time of check-in, boarding and arrival at the destination. The aircraft are rigorously disinfected after each flight to eliminate any risk of contagion.

 

Among other sectors being launched by Alliance Air is Ludhiana from September 10. Flight 9I 837 will leave Delhi at 9 a.m. to arrive in Ludhiana at 10.15 a.m. On the return leg the flight will depart from the Punjab’s largest city at 10.45 a.m. to reach the national capital at 11.55 a.m.

 

From September 7, the airline is already connecting Kullu with Chandigarh. With a flying time of one hour, the aircraft will leave Chandigarh at 10 a.m. to reach Kullu at 11 a.m. It will return to Delhi with a turnaround time of 30 minutes at 11.30 a.m.
