HEALTH BENEFITS OF BROCCOLI

The origin of this visually appealing ingredient goes back to the ancient Roman times. The word Broccoli comes from the Italian plural word Broccoli, which means the flowering crest of a cabbage! It was first introduced to the United States in the year 1700 by Thomas Jefferson who first planted the seeds, but it gained much popularity only around 1920.

Today we also grow broccoli in various parts of India like Himachal, Jammu Kashmir, Uttar Pradesh etc.

Broccoli is a superstar when it comes to nutrients and is extremely beneficial to the body since it is loaded with vitamin K and vitamin C, beta-carotene, folic acid and fibre.
