Baked Goodies – Banana Cupcakes



  • Sugar – 2/3rd cup
  • Melted butter – 1/2 cup
  • Eggs – 2 
  • Bananas – 2 ripe, mashed
  • Vanilla essence – 1 tsp
  • Maida – 1 and a 1/2 cup
  • Baking powder- 1 tsp
  • Salt – 1/4 tsp
  • Cinnamon powder – 1/4 tsp

For the Topping:

  • Castor/powder Sugar – 1/4 cup
  • Cinnamon powder – 1/4 tsp
  • Melted butter – 1/4 cup


  • Preheat the oven to 180 degrees celsius.
  • Grease and line the cupcake moulds.
  • In a bowl beat together the eggs, sugar and butter until light and creamy.
  • Stir in the mashed banana, vanilla essence and fold in all the dry ingredients.
  • Mix gently and pour the mixture into the greased cupcake moulds, bake for 15-18 mins, then using a toothpick, check if they are well cooked in the centre of the cupcakes.
  • Using a brush, apply melted butter on the cooled-down cupcakes, lightly dust with a mixture of sugar and cinnamon powder and serve.
