Q.1 Which is the best way to apply mascara on my scanty lashes as I have a huge event coming up and have time to practise applying it in advance. I have never used artificial lashes so don’t want to take a chance trying to use them.
Ans.1 Start with picking up a Voluminous Mascara and a primer for your eye lashes. Since this is your first attempt you must know that you can get both primer and mascara in a single tube one on each end. Use an eyelash curler first, next comes the lash primer. Holding the wand horizontally, starting at the base of the lashes pull the wand up towards the top of the lashes. In the same way apply the coat of mascara over the primer wiggling the brush of the wand from left to right and then upwards. A double coat will ensure a more dramatic result. Yet another coat of mascara only on the outer corners of the lashes will make the eyes more intense. Holding the wand vertically coat the lower lashes with the tip of your brush.
Q.2 I get very sound sleep for more than 8 hours every night but I still have dark circles. Would really want to get rid of these.
Ans.2 Dark under eyes or circles is not just sleep related. There are many reasons for these dark circles. Sometimes you can just blame it on hereditary, but yes stress, any strain, being in front of the screen for long hours including computer screens for work, excessive reading, late nights and our lifestyle can all cause dark circles to appear. However, there is plenty of hope for revival. The area around the eyes is very sensitive and has the least amount of oil producing glands, fat cells and tissues. For this reason any treatment done will take the longest time to show results. Consistency will surely work here. Pick up under eye creams and eye oils specially formulated for dark circles. Apply gently from the outside towards the inside of the under eye, above the lid right upto the outer corner of the eye without tugging at the skin at all.
Keep you eyes open and splash lots of cold water. Soak cotton pads in chilled milk and keep on the eyes for 10 min. as milk has lactic acid so its a natural whitener. Give your eyes TLC and see them sparkling bright.
Q.3 My wheatish skin has a lot of sun damage so looks rather patchy and embarrassing. What is the best way to cover it for an evening out?
Ans.3 After moisturising apply some orange colour corrector with a brush. Blend the corrector well on the patch itself.
Then with the help of a damp beauty blender apply a warm toned medium coverage foundation in a rich formula followed by a light brushing of translucent powder. It is imperative that you start using a sunscreen or sun block with an SPF of 30 or 40 to prevent further damage.
