beauty FAQ- AviatorsBuzz

Q1. Can you suggest some interesting beauty related gifting options this Valentine’s Day for my best friend and my sweet workaholic sister who is 28 years old.

Ans: Love is in the air with Valentines Day around the bend, a great day to do something special for your loved ones. Many salons and spas are offering special valentine day treatments to make you feel pampered, so why not gift these relaxing experiences to your loved ones. A survey done shows that a spa and salon treatment are among the the top four gifts a woman would love to receive on valentines day. Take advantage of the many relaxing, rejuvenating irresistible packages in the offing which work on the body, mind and soul. A body scrub will get the dead epithelial cells off and the massage will make the skin soft and velvety smooth. Let this be a valentines month and not just a day, with all the goodness of massages and scrubs, to keep physical and mental stress at bay. You will be spoilt for choice with umpteen massages to choose from be it Swedish, Deep Tissue, Aromatherapy, Thai, Hot stone or Shiastu.

Q2. I enjoy using eye makeup but never seem to get the eyeliner right, every time I try the eyeliner it makes my large eyes look quite harsh. Please suggest a simple yet effective technique, I want to get it right for Valentine’s Day this time.

Ans: Eyeliners come in a variety of textures so you have a wide range to choose from to get the  perfect effect. Large eyes are an asset so with a little effort you can make them look beautiful and not harsh at all. Start by using an eye primer on your eyes followed by a coat of soft colour of eyeshadow. Now  draw a thin line with your liquid liner as close to the lashes as possible starting from the inner to the outer eye corner of the upper eyelid. Let the liner dry, then go over it with a matching eyeshadow to soften the look.
Avoid using liner on the lower lash line, instead make a soft line with the same eyeshadow, although you can keep this optional. Another way is to reverse the procedure by using a soft shadow pencil first to draw a line close to the lashes and then go over it with a gel eyeliner and voila you have your subtle eye liner.

Q3. I would like to do something different with my hair this Valentine’s Day, I am 18 years old and have dark brown shoulder length hair.
Ans: Sure, Valentines is the perfect day to try something stylish and interesting. Here are a few options you can try out –
    • You can choose a style and do up your hair with hearts in it. This can be done with braiding or even with beautiful ready to pin hair pieces made in small heart shapes. These can be fixed with pins or pre attached velcro very easily on straight or wavy hair and look very pretty on young and older girls alike.
    • The young at heart can try a beautiful new look with blue, green, teal, purple, violet or pink colour in your hair. Your hair length is ideal for this look and just a few fringes in front or a few slices of hair on the sides, this will look lovely, or you can go a little more adventurous and colour the lower half of your hair to any of these colours. Bright bold and fabulous…..Way to go!!!!!
