Amid the ongoing standoff with China, Air Chief Marshal R K S Bhadauria, Chief of the Air Staff (CAS) visited front-line air bases in Eastern Air Command (EAC) on September 2, 2020.
According to IAF PRO, on arrival at the bases in Eastern Air Command, the CAS was received by respective Air Officers Commanding who apprised him of the readiness state and operational preparedness of the combat units under their command.
Air Chief Marshal R K S Bhadauria also met and interacted with air warriors serving in these units during the course of his visit. He lauded the focused efforts by the station personnel towards maintaining proficiency in all roles envisaged and urged them to continue performing their duty with due diligence.
Meanwhile news agency ANI reported that Army Chief General Manoj Mukund Naravane too arrived in Ladakh on Thursday morning to review the ongoing security situation along the LAC. General Naravane is on a two-day visit and will be briefed by senior field commanders on the ground situation along the Line of Actual Control (LAC).
During the two day visit, the Army Chief will also review the operational preparedness of the troops who are locked in a standoff with Chinese troops for over three months now.
