Beauty FAQs

Q.1  I am a working girl and like to use makeup everyday. My skin is quite normal but sometimes I break out into small eruptions on my face which feels rather awkward at my work environment. I also cleanse and moisturise my skin every morning.
Ans.1
Your routine of cleansing and moisturising should include skin toning everyday as well. The toner plays an important part in taking away the residual effect of the cleanser and prepares your skin for better absorption of the moisturiser.
Cleansing and toning should be repeated again before you sleep
whereby you allow your skin to breathe in the night, so sleep with a squeaky clean skin devoid of any makeup.

Q.2  I am harrowed by split ends which makes my long hair look very shabby. No amount of oiling seems to do any good and am worried that these will travel to the scalp soon. Is there any way out?
Ans.2
Normally split ends occur due to under conditioning of hair. Regular cutting or trimming of hair does help but split end treatment is a little different from normal hair cutting. It is advisable that you get the split ends cut, this method is easy and is done by twisting small sections of hair and cutting off just the split ends. Also start applying specially formulated serum meant for split ends only. Repeat this process every month for a while and follow a deep conditioning treatment on a regular basis to improve the health of your hair. That split ends can travel is definitely a myth so don’t worry these will not travel and reach your scalp.

Q.3  I have heard that during pregnancy hair does not take colour well. I am pregnant and have been told not to highlight my hair which I have been doing for few years now and am just not comfortable with my otherwise simple brown hair.
Ans.3  Research shows that hair colour is safe during pregnancy. In this age of ammonia free colours it is even better and safer, plus you have an added advantage that the scalp is untouched when hair is highlighted as the foil used during application keeps the colour half inch away from the scalp. Chemical process done on the hair are not affected by the hormonal changes of the mother to be. In fact your hair will take colour very well and what better time to radiate happiness and feel good than your pregnancy.
